Kulanu Academy

About Kulanu Academy

Kulanu Academy is a specialized school serving a diverse student body of individuals with special needs, primarily between the ages of 11 and 21. With a mission summarized by the phrase "All of Us," the academy focuses on supporting every student, strength, and ability. The school is located in Cedarhurst, NY, and is proud to serve families across New York City and Long Island. To provide the highest level of individualized care, class sizes are carefully structured to meet varying needs, with student-to-staff ratios typically ranging from 6:1:1 to 12:1:1.

Educational Philosophy

Kulanu Academy operates under a philosophy of "three paths, one purpose," ensuring that every learner has a customized route to success. This purpose is rooted in helping students form meaningful social connections while achieving their highest level of independence through task-analyzed learning and differentiated strategies. By fostering a supportive environment, Kulanu Academy prepares its graduates for various post-secondary pathways, including higher education, vocational training, or supported employment.

Admissions

At Kulanu Academy, we understand that choosing the right school for your child is an important decision. Our Admissions process is designed to be simple, supportive, and informative for families exploring whether Kulanu Academy is the right fit.
